The project of new area of Zhenjiang Shipyard was authorized by State Planning and Economic Committee in the December of 1995. It is placed in to state second” double-addition” guiding project and, then became the key construction one of Jiangsu Province & Zhenjiang City. The planning of its being started to construction which was approved by State Economic and Trading Committee in the November of 1997. Its programming products are the special vessels. The first project include one 20,000DWT shipway with relevant lifting equipment and, power distribution station that equipped with the capacity of 2x800kvA and, mooring dock with the shoreline of 150m long. After new area of Zhenjiang Shipyard is finished, Zhenjiang Shipyard will become a modernization shipbuilding enterprise that is capable of building special vessels in the size of big and middle.
