Zhenjiang
Shipyard is located at the golden criss-cross waterway, the junction
of the Yangtze river and the ancient Peking-Hangzhou Canal.
Established in May 1951, and situated at the western foot of
Zhenjiang Beigu hill and beneath the ancient Ganlu Temple, it is the
Shipyard with the longest history in Jiangsu Province. The new area,
being constructed,.
is located at the Longmen Kou that is next to the Run-yang Great
Yangtze Bridge and, located at the western of the bridge. Zhenjiang
Shipyard has been continuously appraised as the Enterprise Abiding
by Contract and Having Good Credit for fifteen (15) years by
Zhenjiang government. In 1987, it was judged as one of the 665
backbone enterprises by the State

and Industrial Committee. In1994, it was judged as the enterprise
with the latest and advanced technology and, in 1996, ranked among
one hundred most powerful big and medium manufacturing enterprises
in Jiangsu province in terms of general scientific strength and,
awarded the title of advanced enterprise in scientific progress for
continuous four sessions and, gains the title of the civilization
production unit every year in Zhenjiang city.
The Zhenjiang Shipyard enjoys the AA-class bank credit.
The old production location of Zhenjiang Shipyard occupies an
area of 100,000 square meters and, the new area of being constructed
has 125,000 square meters with
a deep waters shore-line of 400 meters long. At present,
Zhenjiang Shipyard, with more than 64,170,000 RMB yuan fixed assets,
has one 20,000 DWT shipbuilding berth and, one 5000 DWT shipbuilding
berth and, four (4) 1000DWT indoor shipbuilding berths and, then
respectively corresponding lifting & freight facilities.
Moreover, Zhenjiang Shipyard has such equipment as pretreating
equipment of steel plates & profiles and the timbers and,
machining facilities and, metal machining & cutting equipment,
computer controlled steel plates cutters, Co2 gas
shielded arc welders, argon arc welders, plasma plate cutters,
automatic hidden atc welders and, so on.
Zhenjiang Shipyard has over 1000 staff members and workers,
including more than 150 senior engineers, engineers and technicians,
and a number of well-known experts that enjoy the allowance awarded
by the State Council. In recent ten years, by relying on marketing
guide and scientific progress, our products’ composition has been
being modified and, a batch of vessels with excellent performance
and contemporary level has been developed. We have formed our own
characteristical products in the domestic & the foreign
ship-markets and, become one of the Chinese shipbuilding markets.
Among the mentioned above vessels are 10,000 DWT ocean salvage ship,
the Yangtze water quality monitoring ship, 1000 DWT coastal oil
& water supply ship, multi-function full swivel tugboats,
full-swivel car ferries and, full hydraulic cutter-suction dredgers
and, full-hydraulic bucket-wheel dredgers and, multi-function
protection environment ship and, modern sea-port fire-fighting
tugboats and, ice-broken vessels and, multi-function bulk container
and, multi-function ocean-going salvage tugboats and etc., all of
which have become Jiangsu’s particular products in the domestic
and the foreign shipbuilding markets.
