¡¡Preferential Policies for the New Zone

  The foreign invested productive enterprises set up in the New Zone enjoy the 15% tax rate for their enterprise income tax, which is in accord with the state preferential policy for high-tech industrial parks; the difference is to be subsidized by the New Zone.

    The foreign invested enterprises in the New Zone with a registered capital US$5 million and more, after the ¡°2 years free and 3 years half¡± of the income tax period stipulated by the Tax Law, may enjoy a 1-year extension of tax vacation and a 2-year extension of half-reduction; the difference to be subsidized by the New Zone.

  The high-tech product manufacturers at the provincial level and above, established in the New Zone, beginning from the year of recognition; may apply for a financial subsidy for high technology in the New Zone. The period of subsidizing is 3 years for the state level, and 2 years for the provincial level. The subsidy will be mainly used for supporting enterprises¡¯ R&D of high-tech products. The maximum amount of subsidy is the royalty portion in the product value added tax submitted to the New Zone finance in the same year. The technological enterprises created by scholars returned from abroad, PhDs and post-doctors entering the Zone, may apply for a financial subsidy for high technology in the New Zone within 2 years.
